Frequently asked questions and HIPAA Subpoena and Records Information Why Service of Process HIPAA Compliant Subpoena Services? HIPAA Service of process is the procedure employed to give legal notice to an institution or facility of a court or administrative body's exercise of its jurisdiction over that entity e.g. Hospital so as to enable that entity to respond to the proceeding before the court, body or other tribunal. Usually, notice is furnished by delivering a set of court documents to the entity to be served.
Service and delivery of a HIPAA records subpoena. Each jurisdiction has rules regarding the means of delivery and service of process of a HIPAA records subpoena.
